Lougheed Town Centre raises $1500 for RCH neonatal intensive care unit

Lougheed Town Centre customers hung “Stars for Care” on the centre’s holiday tree display and donated $1500 to help fund specialized equipment for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), which treats seriously ill and premature infants from throughout the province.
Paving the way to the best in healthcare

Winvan Paving Ltd. and Mainland Sand & Gravel Ltd. are donating $15,000 each as co-presenting sponsors of RCH Foundation’s Gala, Journey through Shangri-La, on March 5th. The Gala will help raise $1.6 million for critical care at RCH.

Shriners help doctors prevent blindness in RCH's tiniest patients

(From left) Shriners Richard Gauer, Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) Foundation Liaison; Marvin Knott, Treasurer; Loren Donaldson, Potentate for B.C. and Yukon; Paul Johansen, Publicist; Donovan Tyers, Secretary; and Ron Anderson, President, present a cheque for $9,301.30 to Karen Baker-MacGrotty, RCH Foundation Board Director, to support the purchase of a RetCam Shuttle for the RCH Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to help doctors prevent blindness in their tiny patients. Since 1989, the New Westminster Shrine Club has generously helped fund vital equipment for RCH’s NICU, from specialized cribs to neonatal ventilators, raising more than $232,000 to help care for the smallest and sickest newborns in the province.

Mayor Wright’s 6th Annual Charity Lawn Bowls event successfully raised $7,320 for Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH). Elks Club of New Westminster helps fund
co-bedding crib in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

The crib enables twins and triplets to be cared for together in one crib, which is essential for their development. Elks Club of New Westminster has contributed a total of $6,000 this year to RCH Foundation’s $1.6 million Urgent Needs Campaign to fund vital equipment needs throughout the hospital.
TELUS Dollars for Dollars Program funds vital equipment at RCH

Variety donates $10,000 to help families in need at RCH

ICU Grand Opening at RCH a big success - thanks to donors

Health Minister George Abbott officially opened the new state-of-the-art ICU on June 5, 2007. The government committed $6.5 million to the facility and RCH Foundation raised $1.6 million from community donations for the new 9,200 square foot facility which features 16 private rooms, 3 private family rooms and custom-made ceiling mounted equipment booms.
