RCH Foundation announces Board of Directors for
2006/07
The Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation has announced
its Board of Directors for 2006/07, as elected recently at the
Foundation’s Annual General Meeting:

Brent Atkinson, Treasurer (Atkinson Terry Insurance)
Les Jourdain, Interim Treasurer (Fraser River Pile & Dredge)
Adrienne Bakker, Secretary (CEO, RCH Foundation)
John Ashbridge (Community Volunteer)
Jim Glanville (Community Volunteer)
Jim Gray (Community Volunteer)
Larry Osachoff (RBC Dominion Securities)
Dr. Michael Piper (RCH Surgeon)
Belle Puri (CBC News)
Helen Sparkes (Community Volunteer)
Dr. Laurence Turner (RCH surgeon)

"We are committed to
partnering with the hospital, our donors, the community, and Fraser
Health to determine the fundraising priorities for Royal Columbian
Hospital Foundation", says Gary Brush, newly-elected Chair
of the Foundation Board. "Our fundraising goal for this year
is to raise $2.6 million to help fund equipment for the hospital’s
new Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Services, Operating Rooms and
the Neonatal (newborn) Intensive Care."
Royal Columbian Hospital
Foundation is an independent charitable organization which raises
more than $4 million dollars every year
to fund priority equipment needs and enhancements to patient
care at Royal Columbian Hospital. RCH is both a community hospital
and
the major trauma and referral hospital for 1.5 million people
from Burnaby to Boston Bar who depend on Royal Columbian to provide
highly specialized care for the most complex and critical injuries
and illnesses.
